The Aviation Industry Association of New Zealand (AIANZ) has launched a petition calling on the Government to pause agricultural drone deregulation and consult with industry on risk-based reform that protects public safety.
The Association is concerned that replacing existing assurance requirements with notification alone would remove an important check that operators are competent, aircraft are properly maintained, and operational risks are managed.
